Jerommie Smith spent 17 years in law enforcement. He worked SWAT, K9, drug interdiction and white collar crime investigations, trained officers at the academy, and served alongside numerous government agencies. In that line of work, a watch takes a beating, and his never held up. Cheap ones broke. Expensive ones drew attention. None of them were built for the job.
So he built his own. Jerommie is an engineer at heart who loves to build, and he took the time to learn the craft of watchmaking. He has designed and built thousands of watches since, and every one taught him a little more about making a tough watch that lasts a lifetime. Smith & Bradley was founded on that work in 2012.
Today our watches are worn by military, special forces, government agencies, law enforcement, first responders and collectors. In October 2026, Jerommie and his partner Rob bought the company back. You can read our letter to the people who built this brand with us.
