The Garage Series

Why the Garage Series

I've been building cars for more than 35 years. It started with '70s Trans Ams and classic American muscle. Over the years it grew into BMW, Mercedes, Land Rover, Lexus and Porsche, all the way to Ferrari engines.

Every build taught me the same thing: the details matter. Do it right, or don't do it at all. Horsepower, engineering and speed have been part of me for as long as I can remember.

Watches are the other half of that story. Both come down to precision, materials and a respect for how things are put together. Now that I'm back doing what I love, I get to bring the two together and put the character of a car on the wrist.

The best of both worlds.

Jerommie Smith, Founder

Every watch in the Garage Series began as a private commission, designed one at a time for a collector and the car they love. Out of respect for their privacy, our clients remain anonymous. The pieces are shown here for viewing only and are not for sale.

If you have a car of your own you'd like to see on your wrist, we'd love to hear from you.

427

Private commission · Inspired by the Shelby Cobra 427

427 Garage Series watch inspired by the Shelby Cobra, with spoked blue and white dial and olive-wood bezel

Created for a museum-collection Shelby Cobra 427, the 427 takes the car apart detail by detail and rebuilds it on the wrist.

  • The wheels, as the dial. The spokes on the dial are the car's wheels.
  • The brake rotors. The silver segments where the numbers sit are the rotors behind the wheels, cut through to show the depth beneath.
  • The gauge numbers. Every numeral is an exact match to the numbers on the car's instrument gauges.
  • The gauge needles, as the hands. The hands are the needles, and the black center is the needle cap.
  • Racing stripes. Deep blue and white, taken straight from the paint.
  • The steering wheel, as the bezel. Hand-finished olive wood with polished steel rivets, drawn from the classic wood-rimmed wheel.
  • The horn button. A center emblem placed just where it sits on the wheel.
  • The shifter, as the crown. A black crown engraved with the gearshift pattern, like the knob on the tunnel.
  • The tires. A rubber strap molded with a tread pattern.
  • Swiss automatic heart. A Swiss automatic movement, visible through the cut-outs in the dial.

Big-block V8 spirit. No apologies.

The Bavarian

Private commission · Inspired by the BMW M Series

The Bavarian Garage Series watch inspired by the BMW M Series, with blue saffiano strap and red stitching

Built for the owner of a BMW M Series, The Bavarian is track-bred engineering made to wear every day.

  • The wheels, as the dial. The open skeleton spokes are the car's wheels, cut through to show the movement working beneath.
  • Sport screws, in the bezel. Eight exposed machine screws mirror the performance hardware on the car.
  • The cabin, as the strap. Blue textured leather with red contrast stitching, taken from the interior.
  • Motorsport colors. Blue and red run through the whole piece, from the blue dial ring to the red seconds hand and stitching.
  • The gauges, as the hands. Lumed baton hands and markers styled after the instrument cluster.
  • Swiss automatic heart. The Swiss automatic movement is fully on display through the skeleton dial.

Track-bred. Built by hand.

Spyder 9

Private commission · Inspired by the Porsche 918 Spyder

Spyder 9 Garage Series watch inspired by the Porsche 918 Spyder, held over the engine bay, black DLC case, carbon fiber dial and acid-green hands

Built for the owner of a Porsche 918 Spyder, the Spyder 9 was crafted under PRIMA, the premium label Jerommie created, and it carries the car's own materials straight onto the wrist.

  • The body, as the case. Solid billet 316L stainless steel, machined in the USA, then treated and coated in DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) to match the car's paint exactly.
  • The carbon, as the dial. The carbon fiber weave is an exact match to the dash and the carbon throughout the car.
  • The brake calipers, as the hands. Acid-green hands in the exact color of the calipers.
  • The dash, as the numbers. The numerals are taken from the car's instrument cluster.
  • Swiss automatic heart. A Swiss automatic movement beneath the carbon.

Carbon, hybrid power and 887 horsepower of precision, on the wrist.

Rosso

Private commission · Inspired by the Ferrari California T

The Rosso Garage Series chronograph, inspired by the Ferrari California T, set in the car's gauge cluster

Built for the owner of a Ferrari California T and crafted under PRIMA, the Rosso is a nod to the car's dashboard: the yellow tachometer and every element of the dash, with a flare of rosso red.

  • The tachometer, as the sub-dial. The yellow sub-dial at 9 o'clock is the car's signature yellow tach.
  • The gauges, as the dial. Black sub-dials and bold white numerals taken from the instrument cluster.
  • The carbon, as the dial. A carbon fiber dial to match the carbon in the cabin.
  • Rosso red, as the needles. Red hands styled as gauge needles, with a red tachymetre scale on the bezel.
  • The start button, as the pusher. The red pusher starts the chronograph, just like the red engine-start button on the wheel starts the car.
  • Swiss automatic heart. A Swiss automatic chronograph movement, on display through the case back.

Your dash, on your wrist.

How a Commission Works

  1. Tell us about your car. Make, model, year, colors, and the details you love most. Photos help.
  2. We design it together. Jerommie develops a concept and works with you on the dial, hands, case finish and strap until it's right.
  3. We build it. Your watch is assembled in the USA with a Swiss automatic movement and backed by our Unstoppable Guarantee.

Every commission is quoted individually based on the design, and every client's privacy is protected. To start a conversation, email service@sbwatch.com with "Garage Series" in the subject line.
